Vision Pro can display 3D objects at full scale in your room, which is genuinely useful for reviewing models and presenting concepts to clients who might not want to put on a VR headset. The spatial creation tools on Vision Pro are still developing, but the viewing and presentation use case is already solid.
For designers at studios, the pattern that’s emerging is: create in Gravity Sketch or Nomad, review in Vision Pro or through a browser-based spatial viewer, then hand off to Blender or Cinema 4D for final polish and rendering. It’s a multi-tool workflow, not a single-app pipeline.
Is This Worth Learning?
To be honest, it depends heavily on your discipline. If you do industrial design or concept vehicle work, Gravity Sketch has genuine professional backing and is worth the investment of time. If you do character art or creature design, Nomad Sculpt is probably the most accessible route into spatial creation without needing a VR headset.
What’s less clear is whether spatial tools are going to become mainstream for all 3D work, or whether they’ll stay as specialist tools for specific stages of a workflow. The spatial design community is enthusiastic and growing, but desktop-first applications like Blender and Cinema 4D haven’t been displaced. Spatial tools complement them more than replace them, at least for now.
